Scholarships

Since the inception of MathMovesU, Raytheon has recognized thousands of students and teachers nationwide — from more than 500 schools. Scholarship Management Services, an independent third party organization, administers the scholarship programs and tracks award winners as they advance in STEM-related careers.  

Teachers

Math Heroes

Math Hero Award

Math teachers and volunteers who work with middle and high school students are eligible to receive a $2,500 Math Hero award. Applications open in December.

EiE

Raytheon-Engineering is Elementary® Teacher Scholarship Program

Elementary teachers are eligible to receive a $2,500 scholarship to attend an Engineering is Elementary (EiE) Professional Development workshop. (2013-2014 EiE Teacher Scholarship Application -- submissions closed -- look for the 2014-2015 application soon.)

 

Students

MathMovesU Middle School Grant and Scholarship Program

Each year MathMovesU awards 150 middle school students nationwide $1,000 scholarships to attend math and science summer camps and programs, or to save the money for college.

FIRST logo

Raytheon-FIRST Robotics Scholarship

Raytheon-FIRST Robotics Scholarship program awards 40 individual scholarships of $1,000 each to FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) alumni pursuing undergraduate education as math, science, engineering or technology majors. (Raytheon-FIRST Robotics Scholarship Application -- available April 1, 2014.)
